Violet and Stella's Adventure

Stella loves to play with Violet. This day, she gave her a super model makeover, with a shower, hairdo, make up and dress. Then they packed up for an adventure with water out of wine glasses and green beans from the garden. Summer time.......

Addie Turns 9

Addie had a huge birthday bash. Some 20 kids came and 8 girls spent the night in a tent only to wake up to a thunderstorm and all move into the living room! A lady at Kevin's work made this campsite birthday cake. It was so fun!

Yes, I was pumped!

He fell just a few yards from where I shot him.

This was just after I shot him, I look okay but my heart was pounding so hard I couldn't hear myself talk! My dad and I were walking to find a place to sit down when I saw a deer about 150 yards away grazing on some trees and brush. We hurried up and sat down on our chairs and got the sticks set up, loaded the gun and looked through the scope. Then I saw another deer close to the first and he came into an opening, that's when my dad made a weird snorting sound and then the deer looked at me and I put his heart right in the middle of my scope and pulled the trigger!! AHH! He dropped instantly, and it was the first time I have ever shot a high powered rifle, and it was a good shot because I harvested my first deer ever! Thanks to my dad who is the best deer hunter ever! And now I can catch up with my mom.

Cowgirls riding horses

We took Breann and Tori Fawcett, our cousins, to the indoor arena. We scooped poop, got muddy and rode our quarter horse Fathom, we all were sweaty and dirty, including Fathom!

Moving Alexis out West: Amber's trip to Montana

So, Alexis and myself drove her Subaru out West, to Ennis Montana where Alexis is now living! It was an adventure of a lifetime for me! We traveled with Fern (a lab) and Gus (a French Bulldog puppy). We first stopped in Iowa to check out our parents new place. My dad guided me to my first deer ever, I shot a button buck from about 130 yards out. Then ate deer and noodles that night and off to Montana we were. Somehow I took the first shift and drove until 3 AM! Don't know how I did that, that's not like me! Well after 24 long hours we pulled into her cabin in the dark just to wake up in the morning in tears! The mountains were breathtaking. We painted her apartment and unpacked her stuff, that girl does not need any coffee mugs! We ate local food, visited the old gold mining towns of Virginia City and Nevada City and hiked the Tobacco Root mountains. When I got on the plane to fly home, I sobbed! It was the most magical beautiful place I have ever been. Can't wait to go back and go fly fishing on the Madison river for rainbow trout and attend a real rodeo!

Our future Horse, "Fatham"

Fatham is on the left. Addie and Violet fed them apples.
Fatham loved Addie! He can't wait to come home with us.

Fatham is a 20 year old quarter horse, called the "gentle giant". He is beautiful and easy to ride, perfect trail horse for our girls. Some friends of ours are going to let us use their barn and 60 acres of trails just 1/2 mile from our home. A new chapter of life opens as we welcome a horse into our lives.......

Halloween 2009

Violet is the Little Mermaid.
My friend Claudia made Violet's Little Mermaid costume out of scrap materials, she loved it!

Trick or treating sisters.

Addie was a Vampiress.
